This happened quite long ago in 2010. I was 11 and my family wanted to take a trip to Dubai,UAE. it was in the summer i left for Heathrow airport at 6:00am. I woke up quite early then when i usually wake up, i woke at round 5:30 and i was all grouchy and tired and really didn't give a s*** what was happening. The taxi came at 6:00 we got our bags and left for the taxi. We arrived at the airport at 07:10am. My father let me get a souviner from the shop, and since it was the 2010 World Cup season i got a toy of the mascot of the World Cup ( forgot his name sorry). We waited for hours but it took so long for our plane to come. finally at 09:00 our plane came we went by Emirates, we showed our tickets and after maybe 30 minuetes we got on the plane. The plane ride took maybe 6 hours so to kill time i started to watch movies on the plane and also watch some Simpsons and just a few Arabic soaps. we arrived at Dubai's Airport we planned to stay for a week. We met with our uncle and he took us to a nearby hotel. It was okay but a rating of 5-10, on our first night we went to an Afghan resturant it was awesome. In Dubai at nights it's quite warm instead of the coldness in England at night, but trust me at morning it is soo hot!!.
Day 1: On the dayy one we went to a new hotel and believe me when i say the best hotel ever. it had a pool and everthing even a snooker place.
Day 2: On the second day we visited the Dubai mall and boy it was massive we went early around 5:00. We went early because we wanted to watch a movie, it was an arabic comedy it was hilarious. after that we had lunch a halal KFC meal. and we then just took a cab home
Day 3: On the third day we visited the Burj Khalifa the tallest building ever. It took years to build, and many people died. I was friggin almost at the top, i literally was so scared i had to go next to the lift that brought us up
Day 4; On day four we left Dubai for Abu Dhabi. In Abu Dhabi we wanted to visit one of their beaches and belive me it was live. we played in the water and went wakeboarding and all that kind of stuff the only bad thing was that there was a huge accident involving 2 cars and a fire.
Day 5: The next day we went to Oman to visit the Wahiba sands and ride cars there. There was a huge queue. We eventually went on the desert well by we i mean my dad i was too young :(
Day 6: Day six we went to exploring dubai's amazing stores. My mom brought a replica of the burj khalifa and then went to the beach which had and amazing view of the burj al arab
Day 7: Our last day in Dubai we went back to Abu Dhabi to visit the big mosque there called the Sheikh Zayed Mosque i had the burial place of the King of UAE Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan
we left Dubai after that. It was the best journey ever as a kid but we had to leave. Oh we weren't leaving for home we left for a diffrent country oh yeah.
